SUSTAINABLE RESOURCE USAGE
The Company will:
- Conserve energy, water and other resources, particularly those being scarce or non renewable in nature, while still providing a healthy, safe and comfortable working environment for all employees.
- Ensure that any products used or derived from wildlife are from sustainable sources and comply with EU and international trading rules such as the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES).
Waste minimisation and recycled materials
The Company will reduce waste through re-use and recycling and by using refurbished and recycled products and materials wherever such alternatives are safe, economical and suitable.
Energy and efficiency
The Company will ensure, where practicable, that buildings it occupies are designed, constructed and operated to optimize their environmental performance.
The Company will minimise energy consumption by ensuring that any equipment not required will be turned off until it is needed.
Protection of the Environment
The Company will monitor relevant discharges and emissions to air, land and water to assess what measures are necessary to reduce pollution or the risk of pollution:
The Company will not use (or in limited cases will phase out by a specific date) ozone depleting substances and minimising the release of greenhouse gases, volatile organic compounds, vehicle emissions and other substances damaging to health and the environment.
