Metasphere, internationally recognised end-to-end telemetry solutions provider to water, wastewater, environment and gas markets exhibited at this year’s Sensing in Water event. The fifth biennial conference and exhibition took place from 25-26 September and saw over 158 water industry professionals and 30 exhibitors over the two days of the event at the Nottingham Belfry. Metasphere showcased its battery-powered Point Colour range including the new Point Orange IoT remote telemetry unit (RTU), and the original Point Green 3G, Point Blue 3G and Point Orange 3G RTUs. Designed to save money, time and reduce risk when monitoring key infrastructure, Metasphere displayed the devices’ simple, interoperable and reliable functionality. Hosted by SWIG (Sensors for Water Interest Group), the event annually presents an excellent opportunity for Metasphere to network with other industry leaders, while hearing speakers and checking out new market developments. The event’s delegates comprised water companies, regulators, researchers, suppliers and consultants. Alongside Metasphere, Ofwat, Welsh Water, DCU Water Institute, the Environment Agency, Anglian Water, University of Sheffield, Severn Trent Water, Siemens, Bristol Water and University of Exeter were presenting, as well as data analytics firms, Advizzo, Detectronic and EMS . Phil Tomlinson, UK Sales Director, Ret Mathieson, Market Development Manager, and Asmir Hajric, UK Sales Manager at Metasphere, attended the 2019 SWIG conference, and enjoyed gaining valuable insights into new developments in the water industry.
