Poco+ Remote Telemetry Unit Configuration Tool

Poco+ is the remote telemetry unit configuration software tool that allows you to get the best performance and functionality from the Point Colour range of RTUs (Remote Terminal Units).

Easy to Use with modern user interface and is compatible with Windows 10 (see typical set up configurations).

There are 4 main communication protocols available for configuration within Poco+:

WITS
FTP
Medina
Key functionality is:

Setting top level parameters: communications ID’s; Unsolicited event settings
Communication Settings: GPRS & GSM settings; Comms schedule & destinations
Easy Configurable Inputs & Outputs: for a wide range of applications
Groups (where applicable): configuration of standard objects i.e. in DNP3
Configuring data points both ‘external’ and ‘internal’ e.g. battery level & signal strength
Installing/Upgrading Firmware
Extra functionality available:

Battery Life Calculator: estimation tool to determine expected battery life based on configuration settings (see image gallery)
Configured Points list summary: provides a summary view of any trends and events that a user has configured for their points on the unit
Call Progress Tracker: provides a real-time view to the installer of how a call is progressing from modem registration to top-end connection (see image gallery)

  • Groups (where applicable): allows configuration of standard objects i.e. in DNP3
  • Points: configuring data points both ‘external’ as specified in the I/O function and ‘internal’ such as battery level, temperature and signal strength
  • Installing/Upgrading Firmware: via USB cable using Poco+ (can also be done ‘over the air’ via file transfer)
